Jacobite Express on Glenfinnan Viaduct

An original A5 Watercolour Painting on Paper of the famous Jacobite Express gliding effortlessly across Glenfinnan Viaduct. The locomotive, stationed at Fort William, is a wonderful sight to behold, here depicted with a billowing plumage of white silver steam. Popping out of the frame, the railway bridge is a steely industrial cobalt blue, contrasting the late summer early autumn warm terracotta foreground and background bloom. Trees of green, orange, yellow can be seen in the distant farground, and side of the composition. The train also features its iconic red carriages. A proud heritage of Scotland.
